Silke Dekker is involved at Plan d- in the development and implementation of educational projects and accompanying programs. She graduated in 2024 as a dance educator from the Fontys Academy of the Arts, with a specialization in performance. For Silke, dance is a central art form that can have an impact not only on stage, but also in an educational context.
She received an all-round training in styles including classical ballet, modern dance, jazz, urban contemporary, and floorwork. She draws on this broad artistic background to engage young people and audiences with the work of Plan d- in a playful and meaningful way. Alongside her work in the field, she is pursuing a master’s in Contemporary Dance, Theatre and Dramaturgy at Utrecht University.
Silke constantly seeks connections between artistic practice and education, and believes in the power of curiosity, imagination, and movement as tools for encounter and deepening.
